Privacy statement

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This statement explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed password.
• Content you add: job applications, notes, resumes, cover letters, saved responses and interview prep.
• Profile details you choose to provide, such as phone, location and links.
• Billing status. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, never by us.
• Basic technical data such as session cookies needed to keep you signed in.

How we use it

We use your information to run the service, send account and password emails, process payments and keep the platform secure. We send reminders and digests only if you have turned them on in Settings. We do not sell your personal information or use your documents to train models.

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers to deliver the service: Neon (database hosting), Resend (email), Stripe (payments) and Vercel (hosting). They process data only to provide those services. Some providers may store data outside Australia.

If you use the AI import for notes or photos, the text or image you submit is sent through Vercel AI Gateway to an AI model so it can be read into application rows. We do not keep the original file or image, and the provider is not permitted to use it to train models. We store only the rows you choose to import, plus a usage record (date, size and cost) to enforce plan limits. Please leave out other people's sensitive details.

Your rights

You can view and update your details from Profile and Settings at any time. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings. You can also ask to access or correct your information, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing rmacalandag@gmail.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Age and online safety

The service is designed for people seeking employment and is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it. We do not host public user content or messaging between users.

Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and every record is scoped to its owner. We keep your data while your account is open and remove it when you delete your account.
